Animal cruelty speech

Why you need to learn the responsibilities of owning a pet before you get one

INTRO: Animal cruelty is a very common crime commited almost everyday and I’m here to hopefully stop mistakes and warn you guys by sharing some facts and knowledge.

Each year approximately 2.7million cats and dogs all around the globe are getting killed because shelters are too full and animals aren't getting adopted.

Small markets in china are now going to such extremes by putting small animals such as baby turtles, small fish, salamanders and frogs into small plastic bubbles with colourful fluids… personally i think this is disgusting these poor animals are supposed to be in the wild with unlimited space and freedom, not left to die in a small sealed key chain for people's entertainment.

Around 41,000 pets in New Zealand are neglected and abused. But thanks to the SPCA most of them get rescued and end up finding a new home,  happily and healthy.

Animals get beaten to death, slaughtered, torchered and neglected every single day, probably even right now as i speak. Either because the owner is too  lazy, loses interest  or gets paid to abuse their pets for money and sell it online just because they can't get a proper job... but anyways that's a different topic.

If you ever decide you want a new pet... remember that owning an animal requires a lot of care, affection and time, some animals can live up to 10 to 50 years, so choose your pet wisely because they will probably be in your life for quite awhile.

CONCLUSION: Treating an animal with disrespect or harming them is not okay. So please remember that animals are a big responsibility and not a toy. You need to love them and take care of them for the rest of their life and if you can't offer that then you should definitely reconsider getting one, but If you can keep it, I am very positive they will love you and grow a very strong bond with you, i mean who doesn't want that.
Thank you for listening to my speech.
